You’re days from closing Q3.
Ninety days left to land 2026. And a brand-new year sitting right on the horizon, still unscripted.
Most teams treat those as two seasons. Finish this one, then sometime in January, start the next.
But the end of Q3 / beginning of Q4 is ideally when both get decided. How you close the year and how you set up the next one happen in the same handful of weeks, with the same people, in the same handful of meetings.
And one thing decides whether your team shows up for both: whether they can see what winning looks like.
When people don’t seem to care, it’s usually because they can’t see what success is and why it matters.
Give them a clear picture of the finish line and the map to it, and the energy takes care of itself. Leave it fuzzy and even your best people coast, because there’s nothing to run towards.
That clarity is the work of the season.
And it’s Integrator work: the goals, the roadmap, the scoreboard, the cascade from company to department to person.
This means you’re in one of two spots right now.
If you have an Integrator
Your job isn’t to build the plan. It’s to partner in a way that lets them build the right one.
Own the why. The architecture is theirs, the narrative is yours. Your Integrator can make the plan clear. Only you can make it matter. Give the team the vision that turns a list of targets into a reason to run.
Define the standard. Don’t hand off goal-setting and hope. Tell your Integrator what a winning Q4 and a winning 2027 look like to you — the bar, the non-negotiables, the needle-movers. They can architect to any standard you name, but they can’t read your mind about which one it is.
Pressure-test for clarity before it ships. Sit with the plan together and hunt for every place a smart person could read it two ways. Alignment isn’t nods in the room. It’s the same picture in every head after the meeting is over.
If you don’t have an Integrator
Then you’re holding the ball. Goal-setting, the roadmap, performance management, all of it is yours this quarter. Here’s how to carry it.
Get your leadership team clear on what matters this quarter. Three priorities. Three metrics. Three things you will not do this quarter. That last set does as much work as the first two, because a constraint is what protects the priorities from everything else that wants in. Make this the agenda for your next leadership meeting.
Give every priority an owner, a definition of done and a weekly scorecard. One name, a clear picture of what finished looks like and a number that moves every week, on view for the whole team. This is how winning stops being a slogan and becomes a rally point.
Then shift to 2027, and start with the top and bottom lines. Define the company goals for next year and get the 2027 forecast going now. Once you have the numbers locked, you can cascade the goals down to each department, then to each person, so everyone can connect their own work to the whole. It all starts with a clear financial picture.
The hinge
The end of Q3 is a small hinge that swings a big door. Ninety days of finish and a year of setup, decided together, in the next few weeks.
If all of it is landing on you alone, the goals, the roadmap, the scoreboards, the cascade, the forecast, that’s the signal. It’s a full-time job, and it’s the one an Integrator is built to carry.
When you’re ready to hand it to the person who owns it, let’s talk.
Yutori Method finds, places and onboards the Integrator who turns your vision for the year into goals your whole team can see and run at.
If you start now, we can have your person in place to kickoff a winning 2027.
We can also facilitate your end-of-year planning if you reach out in the next couple of weeks. Let’s talk.
